Pharmacy Director
Saman Kazemi was born in Athens, GA in 1980. His father had just immigrated from Iran and his mother was American born. He attended schools in the Athens area and graduated with honors from Clarke Central High School.
After graduation he took a few years off to work and began attending the University of Georgia in 2003. Upon graduation in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Georgia he began Pharmacy School at Mercer University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. ln 2011, he graduated with a Doctor of a Pharmacy degree and subsequently joined Walgreens as the Pharmacy Manager and staff pharmacist for several locations in the northeast Georgia area. In 2006, Saman began working for Walgreens Specialty division as a staff pharmacist in order to gain knowledge and expertise in the area of specialty medications. In June 2007, he began working for the Athens Neighborhood Health Center as Pharmacy Director. Saman thoroughly enjoys working with the underserved population in the Athens area as he has grown up in the area and loves his community.
He currently resides in Athens and plans to remain here for the foreseeable future. In his spare time, Saman enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and friends and family. In addition, he enjoys bodybuilding and general fitness activities.
