Pediatrician

Dr. Daphne C. Esho is a board-certified pediatrician at Athens Neighborhood Health Center. She has been with the federally qualified health center since September 2023, but previously worked at Hometown Pediatrics in Watkinsville, GA for 6 years.

Dr. Esho completed her undergraduate studies at Xavier University of Louisiana and attained her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric training at University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital and Rutgers University/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

She is an assistant clinical professor with the AU/UGA partnership where she teaches 3rd year medical students during their pediatric clerkship.  She enjoys being able to give back to the next generation of doctors and offer perspectives that they might not get in medical school.

Dr. Esho is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and received her Breast-friendly Pediatrician Certification in 2022. She believes it is a privilege to be able to partner with parents to aid in the upbringing of their children. She is passionate about breastfeeding medicine and loves helping moms achieve their breastfeeding goals – especially those who didn’t think it was possible.

Dr. Esho enjoys spending time with her family and friends! She loves working out, a nice meal, enjoying the arts, and serving my community through various service opportunities.
