ANHC is so excited to finally announce the arrival of our new mobile unit!
Athens Neighborhood Health Center (ANHC) has launched its first mobile medical and dental unit, expanding access to healthcare services for residents of Athens-Clarke County.
The mobile clinic is fully equipped to provide both medical and dental care and will serve patients at schools and community locations throughout the area. The program will operate in collaboration with the Clarke County School District to help bring healthcare services directly to students.
The mobile unit builds on ANHC’s existing school-based health center program, which already provides care to students within the district through the Hilsman Health Center. By adding mobile services, Athens Neighborhood Health Center will be able to reach additional schools and community locations and provide more flexible access to care for children and families.
Services provided through the mobile clinic will include dental services, preventive care, routine medical visits, screenings, and health education. Delivering care directly in schools and neighborhoods helps reduce common barriers such as transportation challenges, scheduling conflicts, and time away from school or work.
Athens Neighborhood Health Center is a federally qualified health center that provides comprehensive primary care services including medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and enabling services.
The mobile unit will begin serving schools and community locations across Athens-Clarke County this year.
Founded in 1971, Athens Neighborhood Health Center has served the Athens community for more than 50 years and provides care to thousands of patients each year.
