As we welcome a new year, January invites us to reflect on our shared mission and renew our commitment to compassionate, community centered care. At Athens Neighborhood Health Center, this month also marks National Health Equity Awareness observances across the country, reminding us that access, dignity, and respect remain at the heart of everything we do.

Health equity is more than a concept. It is the daily work of meeting people where they are, removing barriers to care, and ensuring every patient feels seen and supported. In the coming year, our teams will continue to expand outreach, strengthen patient education, and deepen our partnerships with local organizations. These efforts help us reach neighbors who have historically faced obstacles in accessing timely and affordable care.

ANHC has certified patient navigators to assist you with navigating Marketplace and obtaining health insurance.

Our staff works to your barriers to healthcare, whatever they may be. We work with individuals regarding their financial needs, insurance needs, transportation needs, scheduling needs, etc.

Updates: ANHC is adding our very first Mobile Unit to our services! We will be inspecting the vehicle at the end of this month, and can’t wait to do an official community launch in Spring 2026!
Thank you for bringing purpose, compassion, and resilience into the new year. Together, we continue building a stronger foundation for health in Athens.
