Revenue Cycle Manager

Almena Smith is a seasoned Revenue Cycle Manager with 26 years of experience in healthcare revenue operations, currently leading the revenue cycle at Athens Neighborhood Health Center.

In Almena’s role, she oversees the full spectrum of revenue cycle functions, including patient registration, insurance verification, charge capture, coding, billing, and collections. She brings a deep understanding of the unique challenges and regulatory requirements specific to FQHCs, including UDS reporting, sliding fee scale implementation, Medicaid/Medicare billing, and compliance with HRSA standards.

Her leadership has helped streamline workflows, reduce claim denials, improve reimbursement rates, and ensure operational compliance across all service lines.
